President- kate mcgown
Kate is a senior studying Biomedical Engineering. As president, she is the team’s leader and main contact person. Kate competes her horse, George, at the training level. When she isn’t riding, Kate enjoys running and cross-country skiing. Reach out to Kate with any questions about the team!

Vice President- Lauren Hall
Lauren is a junior studying Equine Science and Management on a pre-veterinary track. Originally from Minnesota, she came to UK for the Eventing Team and the equine program and hasn’t looked back since! She brought her horse, Sharky, with her to Lexington, and competes with him at the Novice level. As Vice President she is responsible for team merchandise and apparel, as well as facilitating sponsorships. She loves to cheer on her teammates at competitions and participate in all the intercollegiate events and activities!

Event Chair- Callia englund
Callia is a junior studying marketing and management. As Event chair, his role is to plan and organize team events such as clinics, fundraisers, volunteering, and organize teams for Intercollegiate challenges. Callia competes with her horse Boss Indy at the CCI2* level and comes to us from Washington state.

Secretary- Katie mendes
Katie is a senior studying marketing and is currently competing at the beginner novice level. As secretary it is her job to keep track of meeting minutes, member attendance, and team gear used by members at intercollegiate challenges.

Treasurer- Claire strehlow
Claire is a senior studying sociology and criminology. As treasurer, Claire controls the team’s bank account, maintaining records of all team purchases, merchandise sales, and membership dues. She competes at the preliminary/2* level with her horse, Banksy. Claire’s college experience would not be complete without the eventing team!

As social media chair, Izzie runs all of the social platforms (instagram, facebook, ect.) as well as updating the website.

Social Chair- Cosby Green
Cosby Green is a Junior attending the University of Kentucky studying General Business with a minor in Communications. She currently has two horses competing at the 4* level and a training level horse. She was born and raised in Lexington, Kentucky so has a huge passion for the school and the team. She decided to be the social chair for the team to provide every opportunity for members to create relationships, connections, and memories with one another. She has found the community to be so helpful as a competitor and hopes to spread the love as much as she can.
