The University of Kentucky Eventing team was originally paired with our dressage team, to make us the University of Kentucky Dressage and Eventing Team (UKDET). UKDET was founded in 2008 and most of our members competed in IDA competitions and in USEA events, although they were not intercollegiate events at this time.

In 2014, the USEA board of governors approved the USEA intercollegiate eventing program, allowing our members to compete at intercollegiate events! The first intercollegiate event was hosted at Poplar place, where we had three members compete. Our members continued to compete at IDA shows along with the intercollegiate events.

In 2018, the Eventing team and the dressage team separated, making us the University of Kentucky Eventing Team (UKET)! This same year, our team proudly won the spirit award at the USEA Intercollegiate Championships in Virginia with just four members who competed!

In the past two years, our team has nearly doubled in size and we now have close to 100 members. And in 2021 our team won the USEA Intercollegiate championship in Virginia! We continue to compete at intercollegiate events around the country representing our school. If you are interested in joining our team, please contact one of our officers!
