About the Showcase
The UK Eventing Showcase is a major team fundraiser event. With its inaugural date in 2021, its main objective is to raise money for the future of the team and ultimately, to support our journey to the 2025 Intercollegiate Championship. Guests will enjoy mounted team performances by members of the UK Eventing Team, UK Alumni, and the top eventing professionals in the Lexington Fayette area.
There are a total of four teams, each led by a Lexington area professional. This year, we are thrilled to welcome back our presenting sponsor, Valley View Farm, with Allie Knowles as captain. Mia Farley, Maddie Temkin, and Alexa Thompson round out the rest of our professionals. Each team can expect to have four to five UKE members with the Alumni team consisting of UKE alumni.
The event is fully catered with light refreshments and Hors d'oeuvres.
Donations are encouraged and very appreciated.
POINTS & DONATIONS
PLEDGING
Each jump carries a specific point value based on height and technicality. Each rider attempts to clear all 12 fences within the time allowed. Donors pledge a dollar amount per point that their team accumulates.
Riders are allowed to skip a fence and forfeit those points. In the event of an elimination or fall, the accumulated score at that point will be the final score.
POINT BREAKDOWN
Riders can accumulate a maximum of 250 points for 1000 points per team.
Jump point values are 5, 10, 20, 35, and 40. Pledge options are 5¢, 10¢, 25¢, 50¢, or $1.
EX: If a team scores the maximum 1000 points, a 25¢ pledge would be $0.25 x 1000 = $250 donation.
DONATIONS
Donations can be made before and during the event via cash, Venmo, card, or check.
